South Worcester Shooting Ground has provided Clay Pigeon Shooters with high quality shooting since 1987.
The ground is situated on open land close to the small town of Upton-upon-Severn in South Worcestershire with easy access from the M5 or M50.
Over the years, the owner, John Clements, has developed a variety of clay targets, from the high pheasant to the elusive bolting rabbit. With its open attitude it is an ideal ground for beginners but still finds enough cover to challenge even the best.
John and his wife Pauline are always on hand to give you a friendly welcome and provide everything you need including cartridges, refreshments and plenty of advice if you need it. Cash, cheques and transfers using your phone are all acceptable but sadly not credit cards.
The shooting ground is open on selected Saturdays and Sundays from March to November, Fridays from June till October and on Wednesdays throughout the year.
See Shoot Dates for when we are open.
You will usually find her behind the counter serving you with cartridges and making sure you have the right score cards. When we are not open she works behind the scenes making sure everything is as it should be. She is the oil that keeps the whole machine working smoothly.
As one of our top lady coaches she is in great demand for giving lessons and is always on the go. She has a significant input into setting up layouts and designing the shooting grounds web sites. She loads and coaches in the field for game shooters and is an accomplished photographer, specialising in field events.
Tony (The one on the right!) is usually at the ground whenever we are open. He is a first class instructor and enjoys nothing better than discussing correct stance with Becky!
He has a great depth of knowledge and is particularly good at advising on gun fit using his laser pointer to show precisely where your gun is aiming. When not giving lessons he is usually to be seen giving helpful advice and encouraging everyone.
John has been our main Sunday coach since we first started in 1987. His infectious enthusiasm and easy going nature immediately puts novices at ease, which is an important part of an enjoyable shooting experience
Steve has been coaching at the ground for many years. He is a qualified BASC instructor and has a wide experience with complete novices through to more experienced clay and game shooters.
He is also a registered firearms dealer so that once you have your license he can find the right gun for you.

Malcolm helps set up the ground on Wednesdays and Fridays. He then takes individuals and groups round the stands. This means that even if you don't have a friend to push buttons for you, Malcolm will make sure you are able to shoot. He has been shooting all his life and will offer help and advice when
He will make sure you enjoy your shooting
