I will be opening phone bookings from.....
Wednesday 27th May at 9.00am.
Phone 01684 310605
*If there is no answer please leave a message and I will get back to you as soon as I can.
This is how it will work
*You - plus a friend - need to give me a call to book a slot.
*You will need to pay by card, over the phone, at the time of booking.
*On arrival you will collect your score cards and be on your stands ready to start shooting on the hour.
*You will need to arrive 20 to 30 minutes before you allocated time slot to ensure you are ready and on your stand by start time.
*If you are late you will have to wait until a later slot becomes available otherwise it will disrupt the squadding.
*You can pre-order cartridges for collection and pay for them over the phone or buy them on the day, payment by card only.
*Each pair of shooters will start on a different stand, which you will be allocated. You must rotate clockwise and take the stands in order - do not on any account leapfrog the shooters in front of you.
*Please use the sanitiser provided on arrival and before you shoot each stand - in this way the buttons will stay sterile.
*To make sure the shooters can progress at the same speed everyone will shoot 80 birds
i.e.10 stands of 8.
*Cost £25.00. for 80 birds
I realise this is not the relaxed way we have been able to shoot in the past and it will need your co-operation to enable it to work and run smoothly. Please be considerate and follow the guidance so you can shoot and enjoy the clays while protecting yourselves and those around you.
Q. If I don't have someone to go round with can I still shoot.
A. Yes. Just let us know at the time of booking that you will be on your own and we will do our very best to pair you up with another solo shooter.
Q. Can I just turn up on the day and shoot.
A. It all depends on if there is a slot available on a squad later in the day. I would ask you to always phone beforehand to book a slot before leaving home.
Q. Can I shoot as many clays as I like?
A. No. To ensure the smooth flow of shooters everyone must shoot clockwise, shoot the same number of clays, taking the stands in order with no 'leapfrogging'
However if there are slots available later in the day you are welcome to re-book and shoot another round.
Q. Can I bring my partner/friend to press the buttons for me?
A. Yes, there is no problem with this. If we are short of spaces we may ask you to take another person round with you. If you choose to go round on your own you may experience delays while the pair in front finish theirs.
Q. Can I shoot more than 8 clays on each stand?
A. No, if you do you will hold up the whole progress of the squad.
Q. What happens if there is a breakdown?
A. There will be staff close by to fix problems if they occur. If there is a more significant issue, which cannot be fixed quickly, we will have a spare stand available which we will bring into the layout.
Q. Can I bring a friend, who does not hold a shotgun certificate, to shoot under my supervision?
A. Unfortunately we have to suspend this privilege at the moment as it would disrupt the flow of the squad.
Q. Can I book a lesson?
A. Unfortunately it isn't possible under the present social distancing guidance. As soon as the guidance is amended we will let you know.
Q. Will there be refreshments available?
A. Yes. Val will be operating a takeaway service from her catering van. Please allow plenty of time if you want food before you shoot.
Q. Can I pay for the clays on the day with cash?
A. No. To minimise the chance of spreading the virus we have decided, for the time being, to go cashless - cards only.
Val will only be taking cash for the catering, however she will be adopting sanitising procedures for the money.
Q. Can I bring my own sanitiser/PPE?
A. We strongly suggest you bring you own pencils and clip boards. There will be hand sanitiser on every stand and the lecterns will be wiped down and disinfected at regular intervals throughout the day. You are welcome to bring your own sanitiser and any other PPE if you wish.
Q. We usually come as a group of 6, can we all go round together?
A. To conform to the guidance and to preserve the flow of the squad you will have to go round as pairs - buttoning for each other.
However if there is space on your squad, and you mention at the time of booking, you will be able to go round using adjacent stands.
Q. Will I be able to book a round for the following Week.
A. Yes. We will take bookings, either by phone or face to face, a week in advance.I will let you know when we open bookings for Sunday June 14th.
Q. Is the D.T.L available?
A. Yes - However this cannot be shot as part of the sporting layout. If a group of you would like to shoot the DTL separately, and you are prepared to button for yourselves, then I see no reason for you not to do this. Social distancing can be preserved. You will be able to shoot either 10 or 25 bird rounds - just ask Lottie for a score card and pay on the day (with card)
Please do not come to the ground if……..
